Unable to download, error message as attached

Is there a specific version i can install for my MAC? I noticed i only have 2 cores and the following error popped up. see attached if needed.

Hi @Osereme,

Looks like it’s attempting to write to a read only filesystem there.

Could to list out the steps you took to perform the installation? Also, could you let me know whether the Mac is a “managed” device, or your own personal device?

Kind regards,
Michael Hatherly

This is a personal device. So I followed the link sent to download the installer. Proceeded to the desktop downloads and clicked on v3.6.1 macOS version. It installed then the pumascp icon in blue came up, i double clicked and it made the error statement.

Hi @Osereme,

So the issue you’re running into is that the “PumasCP” app icon needs to be dragged into “Applications” folder first, then once it’s installed in “Applications” you can go into that folder and click on “PumasCP” and it will open correctly.

This is standard for DMG-packaged apps on macOS, needing to drag it into the Applications folder, otherwise if you just try to run it from the initial folder it shows you it will be running in a read-only installation volumn.

Let me know if that still doesn’t work after dragging it to applications.
